Our Policies

General

  • The “Dance Year” – We begin classes in late August/early September (depending on school schedules) and continue through May, when we have our annual recital. During the summer we have many camps available. See our Calendar for specific dates.
  • In order to keep our students safe, we ask that parents with students under the age of 10 come inside to pick up your dancer.
  • Cover-ups and street shoes should be worn outside of the studio.
  • Dance shoes are for the classroom only. For the sake of the shoes (and our floors) please don’t wear them outside.

Class Placement

  • Class Placement of students is highly individual and the factors that go into the decision are complex. The school faculty meets regularly to discuss the students’ progress and/or placement.  It is our policy to offer the best opportunities to every child.
  • If a student is taking any ‘double’ or ‘extra’ classes, this student will only perform in one recital dance per style.

Tuition & Other Fees

  • Tuition – Our class rates include all recital and costume fees. For more details, see Payment Options below.
  • Registration Fee – A non-refundable registration fee for each student is required at the time of registration.
  • Family Rates – If more than one student per family is enrolled, we deduct 5% from your total tuition.
  • Absentees – Fees should not be deducted when a student misses a lesson. Arrangements will be made in the event of a prolonged illness.

“Although I knew I would never be a ballerina or a Rockette, dancing added a joy to my life that I can't explain to anyone who hasn't been a part of it. The 9 years I spent at Gretchen Greene were some of the most enjoyable of my life. From Friday night rehearsals, Christmas shows at nursing homes, techno glow-stick dances with Travis, and teaching the 3-yr old class with Miss Gretchen, every experience will never be forgotten.”
